Follow the lives of two sets of fraternal triplets, Rowan, Chloe, and Kaiden Alexander and Xavier, Cian, and Brianna Silvan as they spend the summer immersed in witchcraft in the second book of the Witches of Spring Hill series.

Now that the Alexanders and Silvans have seen what they are capable of together, they believe that they are prepared for anything. But when a sexy stranger shows up at a party, Rowan is the first to suspect that there is more to this girl than meets the eye. With her newfound abilities, Rowan hopes to uncover the mystery of the new girl, while protecting Chloe and Cian from whatever… or whoever is breaking their bond. And although Kaiden can tell there’s something going on with his sisters, he’s having a hard time focusing on anything but Brianna Silvan.

Determined to unlock the secrets of their past, Brianna and Cian Silvan open the books that were left to them. In doing so, they raise more questions than answers and open themselves up to more than just their history. In searching for the missing third book, they encounter someone who has a vested interest in them and their books. Liam Alexander remains focused on protecting his family, but between dealing with two break-ins and coping with Rowan’s new abilities, he is forced to put his trust in Xavier… until one of them breaks their agreement.

The Silvans and the Alexanders must join together again, this time to stop the forces that threaten to separate them for good. But they won’t have to do it alone… they’ll get help from someone whose arrival in town will change all of their lives forever. Bonds will be broken, new relationships will begin, and new abilities will manifest, making this a summer no one will ever forget.

Hi Pembroke,

Thank you so much for interviewing me again and featuring Breaking the Bond, the second book in the Witches of Spring Hill series on your blog!

Q) What inspired you to write this story?
The first book in the series, After the Summerland, was inspired by a dream that I had several years ago, and although I always planned to write a series, I wasn’t sure what the next book would be about until I actually finished writing the first book. I wanted to expand on the Silvan’s journals in the first book and also on Chloe and Cian’s relationship. Since they had a connection right from the beginning, in Breaking the Bond I introduced someone that challenged their young love, which I think often happens in relationships at their age. The story evolved organically from there.

Q) How long did it take you to write?
It took me 2 months to write it and about a month editing.

Q) What is your favorite thing about writing?
I love how the story evolves right in front of my eyes! Sometimes characters make their way into my writing that I didn’t even imagine until the moment I write them in. Kamila is one of those characters, and her story becomes integral to the storyline. She quickly became one of my favorites!

Q) What is your least favorite thing about writing?
Without a doubt, editing. I finally have an amazing editor that makes my prose sparkle (her words, not mine), but before her, I’d spend way too much time reading and rereading sentences.

Q) If you could be any famous person for one day, who would you be and why?
Last time I was on your blog I answered Oprah, so I’ll give you a different answer this time. I think it’d be amazing to be Kate Middleton for a day. I mean, she’s a duchess, one day a princess? Come on, do I have to give a reason? Okay, well, she’s loved by all, she has amazing style and grace, and she’s going to be a princess!

Q) What is the oldest thing in your fridge and how old is it?
Ha! I threw away the old wine from last time, so now the winner is a full bottle of mustard that expired in October 2013. I used it once!

Q) What can readers expect from you in the future?
I just finished writing the fourth book in the series, Distracted by Fate. It will be available the beginning July!
